So, a new fallout rpg in pen and paper form has blessed our pre-apocalyptic world. Has someone here given it a spin? I am reading the manual and I find it very enjoying.
The southwest as i remember is pretty much civilized by the NCR. So I fear that the whole wild west vibe of the first New Vegas would be lost (assuming that we aren't going for a prequel of course).
Personally I would love the southeastern bayou and Mississippi basin as new setting. I was trying to make a tabletop RPG (the modiphius rules with some tweaks) campaign in new Orleans but Corona had other plans for my gaming group :(
Happy fourth of July American fellows!
Are we talking the courier with or without the dlc equipment? Jk, even I have to admit that the sturdy shotgun has a really good nileage
Kill them all and let wathever deity rules the Wasteland sort them. I spent too many hours being shot by raiders to be happy to give anyone of them power
Ok quick tip for GM noobs ( such as me). Be absolutely firm about only one dogmeat perk. And be ready to quell a riot over who gets the dog.
Brotherhood.
A bunch of guys in power armour living to a quasi monastic code? They are not space marines because they never left earth!
Ah, fallout 4! So many memories! I was in the middle of my university thesis.
New Vegas has a special spot in my heart too because I started it while quarantined in may 2020.
What a time to be alive that was...
Honest hearts.
Lonesome roads needs a maximum speech to achieve a good ending
The last part of dead money is a dead pain in the behind with its timing
As for old world blues... Why would you make it end?
For the sake of argument I would say the courier. He has any sort of weird augmentation from big Mt after all
But then, how are you going to loot their corpses without feeling bad? Jk
As an avid 40k fan. Big, burly, green, illiterate targets are always welcome.
I asked the same question once. And from experience I can tell you the most efficient course of action would be
- do the pg quest first
- side with goodsprings after that
- help the NCR recaptur the prison
After all the only worthy (of friendship) " outlaw" faction in new Vegas are the khans imho
Lorewise it focuses a bit too much on the commonwealth, but the rules for weapon and armour are "vague" enough to make it adaptable to any setting in the fallout universe. Hell, with a bit of work and basic knowledge one could set a campaign in any other part of the USA Wasteland

Kick back, set radio new Vegas with some good earpieces and enjoy the ride!
The uss Constitution's flying Circus
Louisiana and the Mississippi River in general. From fancy boat casinos to the dark bayou it would be a hella fun. Oh and a robotic brass band would be the cherry on the cake
The pen is mightier than the sword, but I fear only figuratively
Aaah. The first run of new Vegas. Truly a blissful experience. It saved my sanity during quarantine
Fantastic.
