The Legion armies would be slaughtered within a few weeks if we’re talking about the Midwestern Brotherhood right after they’ve vanquished the Calculator and taken over the Vault. Even if we gave the Legion very generous numbers it wouldn’t mean much.
I’ve always gotten the feeling that Kimball isn’t just an empty suit and still has some military in him. if they’re both unarmed, he could probably handle Caesar.
That’s just the way they used to do it man, and without quest descriptions it was a good way to keep track of what you actually had to do. It wasn’t until 3 that they started doing gimmick/song title quest names.
Cryptid, we already discussed this on Community Central but you vandalized the same page five times even as three different people reverted you, and you said you would only stop if it was a certain person that reverted you. I get that you were joking but I literally had no choice but to ban you so that you would stop. If you’d stopped after the first or even the second time I wouldn’t have cared.
It’s definitely Maybe, this poll is rigged 😂
It’s excellent stuff, Sodaz is a genius. I also recommend watching his STALKER fan film called “Contract.”
All four of them can be hard at various points. In Honest Hearts for example, White Legs soldiers sometime use armor piercing weapons like AMRs and Brush Guns, which can make short work of you if you’re not careful, and there’s also the cazadors to worry about.
However I’d say Lonesome Road is actually the hardest, the Deathclaws on the High Road are vicious, the Tunnelers are vicious, and the Marked Men aren’t slouches either. I would recommend doing Lonesome Road last and either Honest Hearts or Dead Money first.
Oh dude even if you’re not a movie person you’ve gotta watch the Lord of the Rings trilogy at some point in your life. Historic event
It’s really up to you, but if you want to experience the most content on your first run, either do an NCR playthrough or an NCR aligned playthrough (only breaking with them at the latest possible point). A majority or at least plurality of the game’s quests involve the NCR, so alienating them is a good way to shorten your playthrough time.
That’s a tough one to narrow down, but I think at this moment my favorite is Raul. In a game full of great companions, he’s one of the most enjoyable to be around.
You can stealth kill one when no one’s looking if you have a sufficient suppressed or throwing weapon, you can pickpocket their ammo and/or reverse pickpocket a weapon with a higher damage and its ammo onto them, then wait somewhere else and come back and they should de-equip their sequoia, allowing you to pickpocket it.
Hanlon drops his sequoia if he shoots himself when trying to turn him in, but note this gives the NCR Rangers a bad ending regardless of what you do at the Dam.
Fallout 2's side quests were excellent, including all of the faction and town quests which make up the real meat of the game. The Gecko-Vault City conflict, the NCR-V15 dilemma, the New Reno crime family questlines, Modoc, the Den, Redding, all had excellent side quests and side questlines. It's mainly thanks to Fallout 2's innovations in this department that New Vegas does the same, with all of its great faction and town questlines.
Fallout 3's side quests are much fewer in number than New Vegas' but like Sax says, almost every one of them is iconic. I'd give a positive review to just about every one of Fo3's side quests that aren't called "The Power of the Atom," and even that one (unfortunately so because I think it's stupid lol) is one of the most iconic Fallout quests all of time.
Don't put too much stock into the GECK karmas, they weren't meant to be seen or known by the player. Duke was likely part of a cut quest before he became simply the 'boss' of the Zapp's Neon Signs dungeon.
City of the Dead is kinda out of place for V15 in Fo2 but I get why they did it. It's occupied by the New Khans who need to be wiped out for the NCR
Blackhawk is the only one you can get without doing something absolutely awful to your friends, and it's also the best out of the three uniques beyond that, I pick Blackhawk.
Not gonna lie to you man, you don't need to sell any uniques to get wealthy in this game. Playing the game normally, taking weapons from your fallen enemies as often as you can, repairing them, and selling them to the big time vendors (Alexander and Arms Merchant at the 188, Vendertron, Cliff Briscoe, Lacey at Mojave Outpost, etc) will get you tons of money. The Fiends in particular carry weapons that are worth a lot if repaired, as well as Legionaries. Looting stashes such as Vault 34's armory will also get you some great money.
I'd recommending upping your repair skill and focusing on that, maybe make some weapon repair kits too (1 duct tape, 1 scrap electronic, 2 scrap metal, 1 wonderglue, 1 wrench. All of these things are very common in dungeons). Eventually you can get the jury rigging perk which'll allow you to repair very valuable items with very not-valuable items, but be careful as you can accidentally use your uniques to repair things if you're not careful.
As an added note, if you have the DLCs, most of the weapons and equipment you'll get (not counting Courier's Stash which is beginner gear) are super valuable, especially if repaired. For example, in Honest Hearts the White Legs use very valuable weapons such as 12.7mm submachine guns, anti-material rifles, brush guns, etc. Take them, repair them with each other, stash them at the southern passage and take them back to the Mojave when the expansion is over. By the time you finish even one of the DLCs you'll have half a playthroughs worth of wealth in weapons. This actually gets comedic by the time you do OWB and LR as even just a few of their weapons at full health are so valuable that it completely breaks any sense of economic balance the game may have had.
But if you really wanna sell unique weapons... we do have a list of them though it doesn't contain values. Off the top of my head, the Tesla Beaton prototype at the crashed Vertibird is one of the more valuable (and easy to acquire, if you can fight the robots) uniques in the game, provided you can repair it with kits. The YCS-186, Q-35 Matter Modulator (ngl you're better off using this than most of those GRA weapons or other stuff that merchants sell lol), All-American.
Matthew in Fo2. Stared death (Horrigan) in the face and said "Fuck you guys, the Chosen One is gonna kill all of you"
Like all of them, G.I Blues is the shit though. Birds of a Feather is a great quest but you have to have Cass killed to unlock the weapons deal finale which is stupid.
And then there's me that had 16,000 caps by the time I got to McCarran while only playing normally and stealth killing Legionaries lol. Trust me man you really don't need to kill friendly characters to sell their armor
