Since America changed its flag after implementing the Commonwealth system, and seeing as they’re at a higher level of importance in government than the individual states, I would think a name-change would be in order. If anyone can explain why that didn’t happen though, I’d appreciate it.
In the Fallout series, we've seen Chinese remnants crop up around post-apocalyptic America every now and then, and even people like their descendants, the Shi, who have integrated themselves into the society their ancestors sought to destroy. On October 22nd, 2077, American forces reached the outskirts of Beijing as China was backed into a corner, and with nuclear devastation the following morning, they'd be cut off from the mainland with little to no way home leaving them stranded behind enemy lines, just like their opposites back home. How would American remnants fare in China? Those on the outskirts of or in Beijing would obviously be vaporized by the ensuing retaliatory strikes by their own country but its likely some had managed to evade the blast and possibly be in submarines at the time. Is there any lore on post-war Americans in China? I highly doubt it.

I made a map series where the Americans lost the Battle of Anchorage instead of the Chinese (In canon, the USA invades China bringing them to the brink of collapse), so I've switched around the roles and have created around 60 maps detailing the beginning of the invasion to the Great war where China invades the USA.

Asking because I think I saw/heard a female American soldier during Operation Anchorage.
So I was thinking the other day, how come we don’t really see any attempts by ordinary survivors/wasteland era to try to rebuild/recreate the United States? Now, I’m not talking about the Enclave, I’m just talking about ordinary survivors of the War or remnants of police and military units trying to rebuild the United States and perhaps try to form some sort of provisional government in their area? I think that in our time if some great national/international disaster happened and the federal government was not heard from for some time, I believe there’s be some groups, whether it be surviving National Guard units, surviving local governments, or hell, just some well-armed militias, who would try to (at least nominally) to form some kind of revived United States and a provisional government.
I do know, I know the Fallout US did some absolutely heinous shit, but still it seems a bit of an oddity that there isn’t some group out there trying to revive and rebuild the US, aside from the Enclave.
When the great war happened and America was nuke all over after awhile how come on of the other small countries came to help out the survivors that where left and make sure they where ok

Happy Independence Day to all my fellow Americans!
So far in the timeline we’ve only seen a few functioning governments in the wasteland who govern over more than just a town or two, namely the NCR, the Legion, and MWBOS. (Forgive me if I missed one in Fallout 4, I don’t play it so I wouldn’t know.) But do you think there are other proto-nation-states in the wasteland? Maybe in the South or the Pacific Northwest? If you do, what do you think they’re like?
Also, so far we’ve seen a republic (NCR), a theocracy (Caesars Legion), and a military junta (MWBOS). Do you think there are other types of governments out there, like a Communist state? I know the whole stereotype of Pre-War American society is that it was vigorously anti-communist, but there had to be some citizens with Communist sympathies who maybe saw the Great War as an opportunity to bring a new proletarian state up out of the ashes of the old capitalist one.
What are your thoughts?
Do you think America's Annexation of Canada was justifiable or a crime?
"You know what's been stopping the Reds from pouring into downtown Juneau? American soldiers, that's what. And now we've got to worry about someone - Chinese, Alaskan, or otherwise - taking out the pipeline? I don't think so. Effectively immediately, United States troops are beginning a complete takeover of all Canadian assets and resources. Little America is ours. But let's face it - it always has been."

Of course, some Fallout games have been set elsewhere, but if a Fallout game had to be set on either one, which would you prefer out of the two?

My thoughts: Probably the Brotherhood of Steel, seeing as they appear in every Fallout game. The thing is though, which branch do they originate from? If it’s the Eastern Seaboard, then probably the East Coast Brotherhood of Fallout 3 and 4. If it’s farther inland, say along the Mississippi, I think they might be related to the Midwest Brotherhood. Also, I wonder if the Enclave will be there, possibly some survivors from 3. If there were survivors from 3, it would make sense that they traveled south because there’s little evidence that they went north since they’re not present in 4, and if they went west they’d run into the Midwest Brotherhood. Maybe there’s also some NCR-type government, like a revived Confederate States of America? What are your thoughts?
