It seems that Nate doesn't mentioned his father nor his grandfather but only mentioned his Great-great Grandpa who were WW2 veterans during the intro of fallout, I wonder why Nate never mentioned his father and also his grandfather??, is that because they never served in the army unlike himself who did, considering we never know about Nate's parents and etc, the intro is just mentioned about his great-great Grandpa instead, I also wonder about Nate's life alongside his childhood before he married Nora and also etc, because the game never told us about his origin backstory before the events of the prologue that take place in 2077
I'm planning on preforming a Nate route for Fallout 4!
I need your guys' help for these factors:
SPECIAL
Faction
Build
Types of dialogue.
I just found out about this, possibly one of the funniest fuck ups Bethesda has done. It’s been confirmed by one of the writers for Fallout, (A new one not the based Tim Caine’s Isometric writers) a man named Emil, that in the opening cutscene of Fallout 1 where it shows a POW being executed Nate is the one laughing in the power armor. Technically he did backpedal because people can’t accept that War Criminals are just everyday people (I’ll specify later in comments if asked) and that it “messes up the lore”. Regardless, what do you guys think of this?
Based Nate
Or
Massive Blunder?

This is the 4th part of a multi-part fallout 4 sequel story following the Institute ending of the game. Also Nate is Bold this time, Piper and X6-88 are normal, and Nat is Italics. To avoid confusion of course.
_______________________________________________
Piper opened her eyes and saw a room with a glass platform and a glass elevator, a button to her left, and the courser in Power Armor behind her.
"Move."
Piper was pushed by the armored synth, as she was led up to some sort of meeting room, with Nate, the Sole Survivor of Vault 111, at the farthest seat from the door.
"Ah, Piper, glad you could join me here."
"Nate?! What is this supposed to be?!" Piper questioned.
"The Institute, what else would it be?"
"No, I meant why did you bring me here!" Piper yelled.
"To simply discuss something with you. Now, please take a seat."
"Why should I? Who knows what kind of traps you have stashed around this place?!"
"I do, now, please take a seat."
Piper cautiously sat down at the table, worried that the chair could be rigged with some kind of restraint system, but nothing triggered, so she relaxed just a sliver.
"Listen, we at the Institute think that trying to.... expose us, for lack of a better word, in our operations as of late."
"What? What are you talking about?!"
"I'm talking about what you were typing on that terminal of yours in your office. You thought we would not be monitoring that?"
"H-how would you even- oh wait, why am I even surprised?"
"You shouldn't be. Anyways, we'd prefer that you don't post anything about that incident at Valentine Detective Agency."
"So that was you! I knew it!"
"Yes, it was. But you must not publish it. I merely had my synth's go to retrieve both of them to speak here."
"Why am I supposed to listen to you? I know you won't kill me because we were friends before!"
"No, I won't kill you in specific. But I can kill someone you care about if you don't listen. Bring her in, 88."
The courser in power armor left the room, and soon came back, pulling on Nat's arm somewhat carefully to lead her into the room.
"Nat!"
"Hi Piper! Is this place the Institute that you're always writing about?"
"Y-yes, it is. Please stay calm."
Piper turned her attention back to Nate.
"You release her this instant!"
"Why should I? All she is is insurance to make sure you do what we want you to."
"Is that all she is to you?!"
"Yes, it is. She's a means to an end."
"Please, I'll do what you want, just please don't hurt her."
"Good, we got the point across. Now, 88, please take her back to where she was."
X6-88 left the room, pulling Nat carefully as to not injure her yet.
"Now, another Courser should be here soon enough to bring you back to your office, where you'll delete all that you typed today about the Valentine Detective Agency incident. If you don't, we'll know. And we keep our threats."
A courser in Power Armor walked into the room and grabbed Piper by the not broken arm.
"X6-89, ready to relay out with Piper Wright."
A blue beam fired down, and Piper Wright was back in her office when her eyes adjusted.

This was the end of Part 2 of Part 2. Part 3 will be next for the story.
Just know that this is a fan creation that is based off of the Institute ending in Fallout 4.

As Nate led Nick and Ellie up to the meeting room of the Institute, he had two armed.... humanoids in X-01 Power Armor accompanying him. Perhaps as bodyguards in case Nick or Ellie decided to fire on him? Or perhaps as an intimidation factor. Nick looked over at Ellie, who was clearly concerned that her and Nick had been taken to the main lair of the beast.
"Alright, we're here. The meeting room."
"Okay, so why are we here again?" Asked Nick.
"Because I'm here to discuss something with you and Ellie, of course. Now, please take a seat."
Nick and Ellie sat down as far from Nate as they could, as Nate sat down at the other end of the table from the entrance to the room.
"So, we are here to discuss how The Institute is now the primary authority in the commonwealth. And how we need more eyes in the street."
"I'm sorry, do you mean to tell me that you want me to work for you? The organization that I've been trying to find and been working against for years now? You think I'll agree to that?!" Stated Nick.
"Oh no, not willingly. You'll be installed with surveillance technology so that we can always see what you see and hear what you hear."
"And you think I'll let you do that?!" Nick said as he pulled out his Pipe Pistol.
"Once again, not willingly. Your memory of this day will be wiped and replaced with the memory of another boring day in the office."
"And what about Ellie?! She'll remember everything." Nick stated the obvious.
"Exactly why she'll be replaced. With a generation 3 synth. The synth itself has already been built."
"Then you truly have become the evil of the commonwealth."
Nick pulled the trigger of the Pipe Pistol, aiming for the head at his once friend, but the bullet did practically nothing to Nate, for as soon as the trigger was pulled, Nate's white and green lab coat had been replaced by combat helmet and a clean grey suit.
"I'm sorry Nick, but you do not fire on the leader of the Institute without consequences."
"Ellie, RUN!" Nick shouted.
As Ellie got up from her seat and ran to the door, she heard gun shots and then a loud noise behind her, meaning that Nick had surely been captured by Nate or the synths in Power Armor in the meeting room.
Ellie saw tube-like walkways to her left and right, and ran to the right, and saw there was an elevator in the center of the building.
Ellie ran down the stairs as soon as she could, but when she reached the elevator, the button did not work at all.
"Ellie, please calm down."
Ellie turned around, and saw Nate, with two X-01 Power Armor suits on either side of him, one of them carrying Nick, who seemed to be powered down somehow.
"We will not kill you if we replace you with a Synth. We can add you to the people here."
"That's- That's a lie! It has to be!"
"X6-88, grab her."
The Power Armored Synth that was not holding onto Nick Valentine approached Ellie, and before she could even attempt to avoid it, the courser had grabbed onto her arm, and took her away to the director's office in the Institute, with Nate following behind with a silenced pistol in hand.
When Nate and The Synth's left his room, Ellie was nowhere to be seen, so it was safe to assume that it had indeed been a lie when he said she could join the Institute.
Soon, Nick was brought to the Robotics division, with a new modification made to him to record everything he saw and heard all day, along with a memory wipe of the events of today.
Afterwards, the new Ellie synth was sent to the Valentine Detective Agency with the memories of Ellie given to it as to make sure it's cover was not blown.
Finally, plans to expose and rebellion formed could be counted as a success.

Chapter 1 of the story has been completed. Nate's plans have begun.
This is a fan creation where Nate, the male Sole Survivor, leads the Institute and plans to completely take over the Commonwealth and rule it with an iron fist.

Detective Nick Valentine, the lead (and only) detective of Diamond City, was currently at his desk in the back of Valentine Detective Agency. Ellie Perkins was currently at her secretary desk, so it was an average day in the office. A few moments later, Nick and Ellie heard something outside the office. It sounded like two sets of power armor outside.
"Nick? Do you hear that?" Ellie questioned.
"Yeah, I do. I'll go check on it. It's probably just Nate."
As Nick opened the door, he saw nothing in front of the door. Then, he heard Power Armor moving. When he turned around after closing the door, he saw two sets of X-01 Power Armor standing there.
"Hey, that you in there Nate?"
The person in Power Armor merely grabbed Valentine by the throat, as Ellie screamed.
Ellie tried to run, but when she tried to make a break for it to the roof exit, the second person in the other X-01 suit had grabbed her by the throat as well.
"X6-88, ready to Relay with Nick Valentine."
"X6-89, ready to Relay with Ellie Perkins."
Two beams of light suddenly appeared above the Coursers in Power Armor and shot down, teleporting them to the Institute base, with Nick and Ellie going along with them.
When Nick's synth eyes readjusted, he and Ellie had been taken to a balcony overlooking the rest of the institute where someone with their back turned to them was standing.
"Good day, Nick."
"Nate? Is that you?"
When the person turned around, it was indeed Nate. The wanderer of the Commonwealth, now in charge of The Institute.
"What are you doing here, Nate?" Asked Valentine.
"I was simply awaiting your arrival. I have something to discuss with you and Ellie."
"Then, then why didn't you just talk with us at the office?" Ellie said, obviously concerned.
"Well, for reasons you may find out soon."
"What does that mean?" Questioned Valentine.
"Nothing. Now, please follow me to the meeting room."
Nate led Valentine and Ellie to the meeting room where he and the leaders of each division of the Institute would go to speak about their next operations.

This is just the first part of this story, both in the entire storyline, and this specific part of it in general. So, please give your constructive criticism, and please try not to be rude, as I'm still somewhat new to writing fan stories, even if I did multiple on the Elder Scrolls wiki for Skyrim. I'm just a fan of Bethesda games and therefore want to make these stories.
I'm trying to work out what Nate and Nora's Special stats and perks would be respectively and this is what I have come up with
For Nate:
PRE WAR NATE
STR 4
PER 4
END 4
CHR 4
INT 4
AGI 4
LCK 4
WASTELAND NATE
STR 5
PER 6
END 5
CHR 6
INT 6
AGI 5
LCK 6
Charisma is 6 because of the trading stand seen in the cutscene at the end of the game, and Intelligence is 6 due to the laser rifles in his garage, just as some context.
PERKS:
Big Leagues 2
Armorer 2
Heavy Gunner 4
Pickpocket 1
Rifleman 5
Locksmith 1
Toughness 2
Lifegiver 2
Cap Collector 1
Lone Wanderer 3
Attack Dog 3
Local Leader 2
Gun Nut 3
Hacker 1
Scrapper 2
Science! 2
Gunslinger 4
Commando 2
Sneak 1
Action Boy 1
Mysterious Stranger 1
Better Criticals 3
For Nora:
PRE WAR NORA
STR 3
PER 4
END 3
CHR 5
INT 5
AGI 4
LCK 4
WASTELAND NORA
STR 4
PER 6
END 4
CHR 7
INT 7
AGI 5
LCK 6
Nate's fitness stats (strength and endurance and MAYBE agility) at 4 might be better than Nora's at 4, and her charisma and intelligence are high pre war as she was a JAG (military) lawyer, which means she also had basic officer training, meaning she can probably aim well too and would have good reflexes. But naturally she would be weaker and less fit than Nate.
Also if you play as Nora she can say while in the Institute "any words a former soldier can appreciate"
PERKS:
Big Leagues 1
Armorer 2
Pickpocket 1
Rifleman 5
Locksmith 1
Toughness 1
Lifegiver 2
Cap Collector 2
Black Widow 3
Lone Wanderer 3
Attack Dog 3
Animal Friend 2
Local Leader 2
Gun Nut 3
Hacker 1
Scrapper 2
Science! 2
Gunslinger 4
Commando 2
Sneak 1
Action Girl 1
Mysterious Stranger 1
Better Criticals 3

WINNER WINNER RADCHICKEN DINNER
OLIVER LEE FROM NEW CALIFORNIA HAS WON
So in Fallout 4, we know that Nate, the male player character, was born and raised in Boston due to dialogue. We also know he entered the military and fought in Alaska.
Now, IRL, a lot of young kids join the Army because of something called the G.I. Bill, which helps out massively in paying for college.
Do you believe it's possible that Nate went to CIT,(the Commonwealth Institute of Technology, the Institute's Pre-War precursor.) before he got shipped to Alaska? He wouldn't have been the only geek there, as we do also know of Elliot Tercorien, who in addition to being a medic is actually very well studied in Cryonics.
I only thought of this because, if it's true, it could provide a kinda in-universe explanation why the SS can modify guns and armor more extensively than their predecessors, and even build custom robots, a feature that so far hasn't returned in F76.
So in another discussion, I realised that Boone(a companion in Fallout New Vegas) and Nate(the male protagonist of Fallout 4) are both very similar. Both are honored veteran badasses who had their wifes brutally killed and are wracked with guilt over it.
My question for you is, what companions would be analgous to the other protagonists in other games?
My theory is that Nate, the male Sole Survivor, is actually the protagonist of both Fallout 4 and Operation Anchorage.
As you probably already know, Nate was a veteran of the Alaskan conflict, and had retired with honor sometime before the bombs fell. This is confirmed in various sources, including the intro of the game, as well as the crew of the U.S.S. Constitution, who provide another key detail: Nate served in the 108th Infantry Regiment.
Meanwhile Operation Anchorage takes place in,well, Anchorage. It sees you become a war hero by accomplishing 4 tasks, Taking out the mountain artillery, taking out the Chinese tank depot, taking out a Chinese listening post, and taking back an oil refinery the Chinese are using as a HQ. The details have been skewed a fair bit, according to some terminal entries inside the military bunker, some of which was cut from the game. However at least some of the events are true.
Finally the third piece of the puzzle(the crucial linking bit) comes from Mothership Zeta, where you get to meet a group of soldiers, including Elliot Tercorien.(who I totally thought was a woman) Elliot and his fellow soldiers are Anchorage-era soldiers, combat medics that are from, wait for it, The 108th Infantry Battalion.
Now you may be thinking, but wait, that's a completely different unit right? Wrong. Truth is, apart from 3 digits being exactly the same(which would be a huge coincidence) a Battalion and a Regiment are actually similar sizes. So we could actually have met one of Nate's war buddies there. Bethesda probably just goofed up the name of the unit in Fallout 4, especially since it's an IRL unit... From New York, which isn't even in the same Commonwealth as Massachusetts in Fallout's USA.
Now the real tough question is, what did Nate actually do in Anchorage? He can't have done it all, since the story had been heavily edited in the training version. I believe the true answer is that Nate took out the Chinese Listening Post.
It can't be the Chimera Depot, since Chimeras are said to probably have been made up in one of the terminal entries.
It can't be the Artillery cannons, because that would be a job for Airborne troops(speaking of which what the hell is Benji, a Marine, doing there?)
And finally it can't be the Refinery, since you, a random grunt, a mid level officer at best, get singled out by Jingwei in a duel, which really makes no sense and is obviously a boss level for the training VR system.
Anyways that's my theory. Now that I've typed it out Elliot's role seems kinda trivial, but just treat it as more foreshadowing for F4 I guess. After all Broken Steel pretty much set up F4s Commonwealth.
