In a game like New Vegas, i think it would've been cool to end the game with any faction. I.e. a Great Khans ending? Taking out local tribes including Caesar's Legion. Being the tribal powerhouse that can finally either negotiate or battle the NCR.

And then destroy everyone in there so commonwealth remains independent?

Do you think it'll be left ambiguous? If not, what will the canon endings be?
Yesterday I finally managed to reach the ending of Fallout New Vegas. Which i was never be able to do on the ps3. The ending i got was good, but bad aswell. Because i’m using the fpge mod, i can actually feel the consequences of my choices i made in the game. Now i want to start a new playthrough again, but in Tale of Two Wastelands instead. So my question is, how do I get the best ending? And which skills/perks require me to do so?
I already did an NCR playthrough, which I don’t mind doing again.
Basically, how do you deal with companions that you HAVE to get rid of in order to align with a certain faction? I went on an indirect killing spree by enslaving Arcade, leaving Veronica in an exploding bunker, making Boone a gourmet meal at the gourmand, and letting Cass be disintegrated by the tall dude. But hey, I didn’t kill them directly so it’s fine. (And yes, I am doing a legion playthrough)
Mr. House
After 2 centuries of owning the strip, it's residents start to get tired of bending to his rule. A secret society forms (similar to the railroad) that plans to dethrone Mr. House from the Lucky 38. The followers, offer medical support in the case of an invasion of the Lucky 38. The only person the door opens for however, is the courier who has been afforded the luxury of doing so.
During an unguarded moment of the door, the invasion force swarms the Lucky 38 when the door opens for the courier, a pulse gun stolen from Vault 34 was used on the securitrons to disable them rather than fight directly as their main objective was Mr. House himself. With the weaker sent up to the penthouse, the strong prepared inside the Presidential Suite.
The courier attempts to fight back, but the mass of people overwhelms them and the courier is defeated.
Eventually, overwhelmed by the massive forces of the almost suicidal residents of the strip, Mr. House is forced into a system reboot. The small window leaves his securitrons left uncommanded are easily taken care of by the pulse gun.
One of the followers opens the antechamber to Mr. House and a decision is to be made. Many of those from freeside say to torture him by disconnecting Mr. House from the mainframe and keeping him alive. While residents of the strip say just to sterilize the chamber and get it over with.
In fighting occurs, and Mr. House watches as 2 societies clash in a brutal mosh pit of fighting. Freeside residents, hardened by the conditions of living on the streets easily defeat the strip residents.
Mr House, in a last bid against the odds attempts to activate his securitrons, but is disconnected from the mainframe before the order is made.
Freeside's residents have won, but at a heavy cost. Most if not all of New Vegas has been affected and many people lay dead. Deciding not to give in to the vices that claimed the people of the strip, the followers along with the residents of freeside activate the Lucky 38 to self destruct which would destroy New Vegas entirely.
One follower, Arcade Gannon, stays to give the evacuation order to residents as the clock ticks down from 15 minutes. Although this wasn't the future he wanted, dethroning Mr. House was enough satisfaction for the enclave remnant. All of the residents of New Vegas escaped before the Lucky 38 self destructed, with only Vault 21 remaining.
The Kings, under a peace deal with the followers, offered protection in the wasteland as many of New Vegas' residents set sail for Primm and Goodsprings.
The shining jewel of the Mojave was nothing more than a crater now, and Robert Edwin House, possibly a reincarnation of the myth Narcissus himself was forgotten by the wasteland after an unnatural prolonging of life.
Independent New Vegas:
The Courier, urged by the efforts of Arcade Gannon, focuses on the people of freeside after the forced removal of Legion and NCR from the Mojave.
Playing it smart, and under the suggestion and calculations of the computer Yes Man, they keep within the confines of Nevada focusing on rebuilding it to the pre-war wonder it was.
The credit check for the strip was lowered from a whopping 2000, to 1000 caps allowing fairer entry, freeside was aided with relief efforts by the followers and The Courier, with securitrons patrolling the streets making freeside safer.
Eventually, a democratic system was formed under a counsel where decisions were made by the majority rather than one person. The followers built schools for young children, and the kings absolved into a militia/police force hybrid.
Although the future is unknown, residents of the recently named People's Republic of Nevada, removing the slur of New Vegas that Mr. House had created, plans to find a G.E.C.K. were made, and the deathclaws of sloan were dealt with at a turtle's pace.
Nevada was finally beginning to return to the shining jewel it was, proving that even under extreme stress and violence, humanity perseveres even when victory seems to be a small chance.
NCR:
After the battle of hoover dam, the NCR ever so ambitious to expand mostly left Vegas unchanged. Kimball focused more on business than the people and sent mostly disorderly troops to the Mojave to "guard" for an enemy that was never coming.
Life was almost just like the old world, living in safety and security of a government that flushed raiders and less than favorable folk down the drain of society. The middle and upper class lived in the first luxury they had seen in a while.
The less fortunate of the wasteland were forced to pay heavy taxes that eventually overwhelmed them as they were put into forced labor by the NCR to "pay off" their debts. Freeside suffered the most and the once shining jewel was nothing more than half of what it was.
Eventually a revolution began to form, and it's waiting for the right moment to strike, as the NCR expands with a stupid form of ambition.
Legion:
The Legion, after the battle of hoover dam led a large invasion force into the strip and freeside. Many of the residents were enslaved, and those that resisted were killed. The Van Graffs were told to be absorbed into the legion, or die.
Refusing to give up their monopoly on the mojave they fruitlessly attacked the legion. Legate Lanius slayed many of them with no mercy.
The Kings, refusing to give in to what they called "a bunch of football fanatics" went into hiding as Legion Soldiers were picked off one by one in freeside. Eventually their hideout was found, their men slaughtered, and the king executed.
Although the legion was brutal and unforgiving, life was "safe" under their rule. The rule of the legion finally proved that despite the evolution of ideals and morals, in the end humanity eventually returns to its primal state
War... war never changes
This would be fucking impossible with only the old farts spread around the wasteland, so let's say instead a somewhat larger and more dedicated enclave force were in the remnants bunker
Prerequisites: Enclave is helped by the courier, Mr. House is preserved because of his technology by the enclave
Hoover Dam: The Courier, with the aid of the enclave and their superior technology, drove both the Legion and the weakened NCR from Hoover Dam, securing New Vegas. With Mr. House out of the picture and under enclave research, the remaining Securitrons on the strip were reprogrammed to serve the enclave, carrying out a brutal massacre of freeside excluding Vault 21, based on the calculation that most if not all of the residents would be impure. Anarchy ruled the streets, but only for an hour as a brutal massacre of the entirety of New Vegas ensued, with barely anyone alive. When the fires died, New Vegas remained, assuming the position of a major enclave research base in the Mojave, with it's remaining residents used as test subjects. However, the enclave and it's soldiers were silently more proud of vengeance against the NCR for Navarro.
Prerequisites: (going with neutral karma here): Courier helped enclave at the dam
The Courier: Though the Courier's decision was as considered by many a betrayal to many of the wasteland, they still aided the sinister enclave in their mission for so called purity. They were honored by the Enclave for their support of their mission at Hoover Dam, and presented with an executive position on the strip, keeping the lucky 38 and it's suite to theirself.
Black Mountain:
Prerequisites: Black Mountain is not attacked by the courier themself, it still broadcasts into the wasteland
Though some super mutants and nightkin continued to journey to the legendary Utobitha, they found the horrors of the Enclave as they lured the remaining mutants to their death. Black Mountain was set up as a reconnaissance and radio channel for the Enclave.
Raul Tejeda:
Prerequisites: Not best friends with the courier
After a long and eventful life, Raul's luck finally ran out when he was executed by the Enclave, simply for being a ghoul.
Boomers:
Prerequisites: Convinced to aid the Enclave at the dam
As the Boomers were genetically pure due to their past in a vault, and their common beliefs in the ideology of xenophobia to outsiders, they developed a strong relationship with the enclave, allowing them to station at Nellis and fortify it's position. With the boomers aerial superiority, and weapons knowledge, they proved a valuable asset to the enclave.
Brotherhood of Steel:
Prerequisites: We both know the enclave fucking hate BOS so let's cut to the point
The brotherhood of steel, a serious threat to the enclave, was dealt with brutally. The enclave, unfortunately, was unable to annihilate the BOS before they activated the bunker's self destruct. With the hidden valley bunker destroyed, and the BOS presence in the Mojave gone, excavation projects were then made for the other bunkers in hidden valley, and are awaiting approval.
Veronica:
Prerequisites: Veronica is alive/met the courier
Disgusted with the courier's support of the Enclave and support in the destruction of the Brotherhood of Steel, Veronica attempted a suicide mission to take out the courier in their residence at the Lucky 38. She was gunned down almost immediately.
The Fiends:
Prerequisites: Courier did not deal with the fiends or whatever
The Fiends were a thorn in the side of the enclave for only a day before their presence in outer vegas was wiped out. A brutal massacre at Vault 3 was carried out and those that surrendered or survived, were taken as test subjects.
The Followers of the Apocalypse:
Prerequisites: Followers of the Apocalypse were convinced to and aided the Enclave at the dam
For their help at hoover dam, the followers were honored with being allowed to survive the freeside and strip massacre. The mormon fort was turned into an enclave base with the followers tending to injured soldiers of the enclave
Arcade Gannon:
Prerequisites: Friends with the courier (obviously, how could the courier meet the enclave without him?)
Arcade Gannon, although disagreeing with the enclave's mission decided to honor the memory of his father and oversaw operations at the mormon fort. Julie Farkas was disgusted with him, and left the fort to the enclave and it's soldiers.
Goodsprings:
Prerequisites: Courier helps/didn't help goodsprings fight the powder gangers. Goodspringers still alive
Goodsprings was spared for the enclave for their aid in saving the couriers life, and had soldiers assigned to guard and fortify it from any attacks. It was utilized unwillingly as a farm for the enclave's resources.
Cassidy:
Prerequisites: Cassidy is not hired by the courier
Cassidy, never having met the courier, put up a last stand with the soldiers at the mojave outpost. She killed 3 enclave soldiers with a grenade launcher before being incapacitated by multiple bullet wounds. Before she died, she took a swig of whiskey and threw the bottle at an enclave officer before flipping them off with her remaining strength, and being shot in the head.
Great Khans:
Prerequisites: Not dealt with by the courier
The Khans, were no match for the enclave as they descended on great rock canyon. The only ones who were spared, were those with chemistry experience as they were forced to make drugs for the enclave like Med-x, buffout, and stimpaks.
Jacobstown:
Prerequisites: they're mutants, they're gonna be attacked however which way it goes
Marcus, although having accomplished his dream of making a super mutant haven in mt. charleston, saw his ski lodge burned to the ground, with his followers killed or kidnapped for experiments. He fought to his last bullet, before beating two soldiers to death with his bare hands. For his unique appearance and intelligence he was sedated and captured, forever in a life of slavery.
Lily Bowen:
Prerequisites: Lily told to stop taking her medicine
Lily, having been off her medicine at the time of the attack of Jacobstown, her and Leo destroyed a plethora of the enclave soldiers assaulting jacobstown. She was eventually killed, and her body studied for research from the enclave.
Kings:
Prerequisites: nothing really
The kings, died along with the other residents of freeside. Refusing to give in to the Enclave fighting to the last man. No enclave soldiers died during the attack, but all the kings did.
Rex:
Prerequisites: not hired by the courier
Rex, at the kings place during the attack on freeside, was spared and taken to by the enclave for research on him. Many years went into researching him.
Misfits:
Prerequisites: Not met by the courier/weren't helped by him
The misfits, barely survived a minute of the enclave's attack on camp golf during the battle at hoover dam. None of them survived
Craig Boone:
Prerequisites: Hired by the courier, vengeful over bitter springs
Boone, vengeful over bitter springs, killed many enclave soldiers during the assault on Novac. When they retreated, he evacuated the residents and split away from them to lure the enclave into a trap he set up. Going out in a flurry of explosions, he finally met his fate in the Mojave.
Powder Gangers:
Prerequisites: Not taken out by the courier
The NCRCF was laid siege to by the enclave, with only 1 soldier dying during the attack. Most of the powder gangers were massacred and the remaining ones made test subjects for the enclave. The NCRCF was then turned into what it was before they moved in. A prison for captured men.
Vault 19 Powder Gangers:
Prerequisites: Courier didn't deal with them.
The Vault 19 powder gangers survived for a while after the enclave's takeover of the Mojave. Eventually a scouting party found the vault they were residing in, and slaughtered the powder gangers. The vault was then marked for excavation to turn into an enclave base.
Primm:
Prerequisites: NCR takes over primm
The NCR although swearing to defend Primm, scattered once the news of an incoming enclave squad hit. The residents hid from the enclave and after trying to comply, were all executed or put to being test subjects for life.
ED-E:
Prerequisites: Hired by the courier, quest completed
ED-E, after thousands of miles traveling across post war America, finally found the Enclave it was looking for. It's databanks were examined, and it's schematics downloaded. Several years from it's arrival a small army of eyebots started to patrol the Mojave. ED-E served the courier, till their death.
NCR Rangers:
Like the other NCR at Camp Golf, the Rangers were massacred. Although putting up a heavier fight than the misfits, the battle was lost when Chief Hanlon shot himself over the intercom and the rangers surrendered.
Remnants: (Basically, they didn't occupy the bunker but they're still in the mojave)
Prerequisites: enclave win really, alive
The Remnants, considered deserters by the enclave, were hunted and put to death for their so called betrayal from the enclave. Orion traded the lives and locations of the other remnants for him to be reintegrated into the enclave, as the other remnants were hunted down and killed.
And yeah that's my ending for a potential enclave win at the damn. A lot of this wouldn't fit lore wise but eh

Is there a way to finish Fallout 4’s story and still be able to take radiant quests for every faction after I destroyed the Institute?
If I get the Minutemen ending can I be a member of the Railroad AND the Brotherhood of Steel all at the same time? If so, can I join them whenever I feel like it?
And can it be done without killing Paladin Danse?
I just reviewed some older posts.
I think most people would call this the “secret ending” or the “all factions survive ending”
I specifically want to be able to do quests for all of them and let Danse live if possible.
It's most likely NCR or Independent for New Vegas, and Peaceful Minutemen for 4, but what would be cool to see as a canon ending instead of these?
