Birds of a Feather

In a Birds of a Feather quest Jean Baptiste Cutting wants to kill Cassidy, is there any explanation why?

I’ve played the mission Birds of a Feather many times in my various play throughs of New Vegas. One memorable part is cleaning up the dead suicide bomber with Simon. The screen just faded to black and his body was gone when it came back. I never noticed the neat, subtle detail that his body was thrown in the dumpster to the right of Simon. Details like this make this game awesome.
