Dialog wheel, choices are mostly A and B, settlements suck ass to build, survives only because of mods, terribly written villains, almost every character was half baked, lore becomes more complicated, Billy Peabody, voiced protagonist, Creation club update, becomes a resource hoarding simulator after a while(and not in a fun way), no ending slides, and it’s made by Beth. The people who caused the divide between Obsidian/Interplay fans and Beth fans, the people that don’t give a shit about Fallout’s lore or themes, the people who launched a game that needed countless updates to be considered decent, and the people who cucked the NCR and quite possibly New Vegas. Honestly, there’s a lot to hate here.

Mechanically it is leagues above the other games but the story isn’t as compelling as people would like. I still think it’s a better main quest than 3, but that’s mostly because they just took the plot and inverted it lol

Honestly I don't personally see the big fuckin' deal. So what? It's different from the games made by other developers, cry about it. I enjoy the game and so do a lot of other people. The only reason you see a lot of hate is because the haters talk the most.

I mean, I really enjoy Interplay's Fallout, because it reminds me of Dungeons and Dragons, but post-apocalyptic and sci-fi. I haven't played 3 or NV yet, though.

My biggest issue with Fallout 4 is that the story is actually one of the saddest in the Fallout series, but the game doesn't use that or display that. The game doesn't feel sad. It's almost like "Here, your partner is dead, and your son is missing!" but then it just forgets about it. I do think the sadness of the story should have been more prevalent, it would have made the game better in my opinion.
