That's a known bug. When you enter a casino your weapons and those of your companions get taken away, but they sometimes don't get them back when you leave. Your best option is to reload a save.

Yes I’ve run into this bug when being accompanied by ED-E. A safe bet is to ask your companion to wait outside.
