Should I get the ps5? Been playing fallout on the ps4 for a while now and it’s becoming hard to play as the console is nearly crashing all the time, so thinking about upgrading to PS5, would it be a good idea of a bad idea.

In my experience, PS4 crashes more common than once every couple of hours are a bad combination of mods / CC content. See if organizing your load order helps.
I don't know that the PS5 would do any better with that, but I also don't think it would do any worse.
If you like playing with mods, I'd recommend getting a PC because there are much more mods available than on Playstation. Otherwise it doesn't make much of a difference.
Yeah not into the modding scene
My PS4 does crash every couple of hours of gameplay. I've trained myself to do a quicksave every time I reload my weapon, which keeps me from losing too much.
I second the PC thing. I have one I modded with my own custom parts.. a console-like one that looks like the image I attached here. And it fits in well with my non-pc consoles under my TV, you'd never know it wasn't a official game console from X box or whatever else. I have it loaded with not only steam, but GOG and Epic games as well as EA launch platforms. This frees up my main desktop PC to be for my work and stuff, while this console-like PC I have is mainly only for games. and it works well with my favorite controllers and my TV, so I can feel like I'm gaming in front of the TV instead of gaming on a PC, which is a very different feeling. if that makes sense.
edit: forgot to mention, Tho you do need to do a lot of setup so that your controllers can double as a mouse so that you can move the cursor around with your controller... instead of having to use a mouse to click on everything. yeah.
Upgrade to a PC I beg of you
Man I remember playing Fallout 4 on PS4. I got tired of all the garbage shaders and extra tree mods so I got a PC. I'd recommend you do the same.
No PC always, I have a ps5 and it's to expensive
I'll still be rocking the One X for a while. I can't afford this generation of consoles. And it's looking like Sony is already doing a mid generation upgrade like they did with last gen. And it about $700 - $800! We'd be far better off going with a budget build PC from discount parts you can find if you shop around. Then just have a buddy or local shop put it together for ya, if it's beyond your capabilities
What do you think?
