I have not made any updates to my second playthrough in a while and that is because I have decided to start over instead of doing another "haha kill everyone" playthrough. This time, I have decided to roleplay as a tribal and I think hardcore mode would be a good fit for this since you have to do a lot of crafting and must maintain your sleep and eating. So far, I've earned a bit of food to start me off by hunting around Goodsprings. But let's be honest, I have no idea what I am doing, so if anyone here has done hardcore playthroughs, I would love to hear your advice. I have pondered having Rec as a companion because of his perk, but I am hesitant because I know companions die in this mode. I'm guessing Veronica might also be a good choice because of her perk and because her fighting style could prove valuable to a melee focused character like mine.
