The canon ending is the Sole Survivor having the synths and fanatics of Atom invade Boston and conquer it and bring about a new age of americanism to the promsied land.

Also BoS defeated feels more natural to me but Fallout can do whatever they want and might have the BoS have "all out war" with Railroad and then wins and then proceeds to "govern" or just move on after Insitute.

I think the Minutemen ending with the BoS alive is the most likely. In Fallout games the "good" endings are often canonized, and the Minutemen ending allows them to use both the Brotherhood and Railroad again in a future game.

Defeat the BOS with the minutemen. I dont care if they have a pre-war army, a victorian-era artillery model which can pop a hole in their airship base of operations on the other side of boston really means something. An airport would be sweet to have too, incase we wanna head off west.
