The combat rifle is quite versatile. The Overseer's Guardian is one of my favorite FO4 weapons.

AER9 Laser for me I think as a "universal" use against all gun, sears flesh, melts metal. Cheaper to run than a Gauss, and the best of the common types of arms found lying around, if I raided a lab or military instillation I'd try to find a Gauss because of the sheer kinetic power it has.

I indeed haven't played Fallout 4. I assumed it was Fallout 4 along with the Radium one but I didn't want to let that be known. I did watched the YouTuber Galm do a playthrough of the base game tho. If the combat rifle is that gun that was made to fit in the new T60's hands then I don't like it lol

@S. Shroud the radiation damage dealt by the radium rifle is just reducing the max health of the target by a small percentage and not actually physically causing damage. The ballistic component of the damage does cause the health bar to go down.

Also radiation damage is good against legendary enemies as their max health is reduce when they heal to full.

@The Appalachian I would appreciate the combat rifle more if it actually used rifle rounds for its standard ammunition instead of pistol rounds.

When we are talking about Universal weapons I got 3

1. Lucky because it’s lucky man I mean FNV is based on the fact that the courier is so damn lucky he cheats death him self and ended up choosing the Mojave’s fait

2. That gun it’s basically the future and the past combined it is the perfect representation of FNV weapons old Wild West handguns and lever actions with the more minders laser rifles and also the reload is as smooth as butter

3. Deliverer this side arm needs no introduction in my opinion it is the side arm of FO4 plus I don’t know why I just love the look of a Makarovo with a silencer
