It's more so on the nose but what's the slot for? My best guess is a holo-tape but that's too thicc for it to fit. (for reference, the helmet at the very top of theis wiki
I'm not sure it's a slot, it could also be a stripe painted on it.

It could just be to reduce weight.
The vertical slot? Maybe extra breathing hole or something
Holotape definitely is to THICC for them to fit but I think it's probably a breathing thing like on gas masks.
Edit: actually I think it's just to make it look more interesting but idk.
Looks like visual interest, if we’re seeing the same thing. I didn’t see a slot, just the shallow channel moving around the nose area.
