I'm biased towards Strangelove. Of the inspirations behind the Fallout series, what do y'all enjoy the most in its own right?

Wow, if anything I'd like to thank this poll for introducing me to that Bradbury short story. Love Bradbury but hadn't read that story before. Found it online and wow, deep and deeply sad in its context. Thank you so much for that @NomadicNom So deeply appreciative.

Always liked Mad Max, when I discovered Fallout it was cool to see the references and similarities.

It was due to a boy and his dog we got mad max, wasteland and fallout.

There are so many post apocalyptic novels and movies out there. It’s almost impossible to pick one and say oh yeah that’s what fallout is based on. There are elements of “The Road” in FO3 and beyond. “Canticle for Liebowitz” “The Stand” “Lucifer’s Hammer” to name few, there’s a ton out there and you can spot similarities throughout the game and the books and movies.

The only ones I've consumed were A Boy and His Dog and There Will Come Soft Rains. I originally voted for the former, but now I'm changing to the latter, mainly after being reminded of it by Octum lol. I should really reread it. I originally read it in a middle school English class. A Boy and His Dog was fine too, just kinda cringy in some aspects from a modern perspective. That dog had some jokes though.

Max Max probably has amazing armor armor and a good good dog dog.

Voted Mad Max but probably would have picked Wasteland for pure inspiration.
