From your other post I'm guessing you're playing on a PS, in which case I doubt there's a DC expansion mod available. There is one called DC Expansion for PC that adds to/ fills out a lot of DC but unless one has a high-end PC that thing will crash the game, found that out the hard way. The only other good one I know of is on PC and xbox, called, The Bleachers: A Diamond City Story. Adds a new world space under the bleachers on the backside of DC, new npc's, and about 6 hrs of story/game content. Really good one, and doesn't crash the game, lol.
As for RP, I always play the female, and how I RP usually depends on what type of outfit/armor or weapon mod I decide to use. For example, one armor mod I like to use is Navy Stealth Suit. It's the marine wet suit from Far Harbor but adds a stealth mode turning you invisible when you go down into sneak, Plus the face mask lets you 'breath' underwater. Using that with a sword mod, like a ninja or samurai and I RP as someone of Asian lineage, someone who learned sword art from her father. The suit, a military prototype that her husband was tasked with testing. Together she uses her skill and the suit to stealthily eliminate her enemies throughout the Commonwealth.
As for motivations, that changes from play to play. The opening sequence always drives it though, of course. The shooting of the spouse. My own primary thought is, 'You're a dead man.' when Kellogg pulls the trigger. And I then carry out that drive. The RP within the game changes as well depending on whether or not I have mods that add to the questline content etc. Like the 'Sanguinaire' mod that adds vampirism to the game. Those playthroughs get bloody and my mind twists things from moment to moment depending on how I feel and where I happen to be in the storyline. It all evolves on the fly for me.
