There's not any particularly compelling reason to release Lorenzo, he's definitely insane and dangerous. He's also lived well beyond any natural lifespan, even by the standards of the wasteland. The fact that the Cabots kept him alive as long as they did is an indictment against them.

I feel that there is very little reason to free Lorenzo, except if playing a selfish Sole Survivor. Freeing him helps no one outside the two of them, and puts people in more danger than keeping him locked up did. Ultimately, I'd argue killing him is even a mercy at the point of insanity he's reached.

Released him, the mysterious serum is pretty good.

On the balance I’d usually kill him, let him out once.

It was jarring to be running around somewhere then you bump into him casually examining a group of ghouls he’d just murdered.

If you spare him then the sole survivor is technically immortal.

I actually let him out, and when i realised he wanted to kill Jack, I tried to kill him and then got killed myself, resulting to me then killing him with the zeta radiation.
