Hopefully I got the tags right.

He probably would have been bombed from orbit, just like he was in broken steel. Win one otherwise impossible battle for the US, never useful again.
Oh, cuz someone said he survives the artillery and balloon popping over his head and I was confused
If you never help the BOS, then Prime is never activated, correct?
@The Mechanical Menace. If you do the BOS ending, the Institute activate the Nuclear Reactor and get it working without you.
If you do the Railroad, Institute or Minutemen ending before activating Liberty Prime, Liberty Prime does indeed perish. As in, he's utterly obliterated. Not just turned off from having no power supply, as his power supply is feeding off of the Prydwen's generators. I respect your logic, but Bethesda doesn't.
Feel free to go there, it's not simply a case of Liberty Prime having no power, but actually having been utterly squished.
My question is, in the Minutemen quest involving the Brotherhood's demise after activating him, is he spared getting destroyed because the airship misses him? I think that would be more plausible, as when he's wandering around Boston Airport he's not actually directly under the crash site, whereas when he's rigged up he's directly under where the Prydwen ends up landing.
If he was fully operational, I don’t see the blimp destroying him. It’s a burning gas bag. The worse it would do is drop a vertibird on him, and I doubt that would utterly destroy him.
@Kvile2000 Yes, except I don't believe that if he were rigged up to the platform, that it would make much difference. You can jump through the wreckage and he's been completely destroyed. It doesn't really make any sense.
I chalk that up to not being fully built yet. Like, they haven’t tightened all the screws on his joints
Well, if you were to build the leg actuators and do the bits for the Brotherhood before Mass Fusion, he's pretty much completely finished other than the required Beryllium Agitator.
However, what could possibly contribute to his demise is the fact he uses his Eye Laser almost indefinitely (which we do not see unless he tries to gain access to the Institute), but perpetually using his Eye Laser against an object moving closer and closer to him may have created some blowback, which may have been enough to damage him or make him vulnerable to damage.
Either way, as I said at the very beginning, Bethesda has been inconsistent as hell in regards to Liberty Prime's capabilities.
None. He's a single robot. He can only he one place at a time. That's not how you win a war against an enormous superpower like Fallout's China. Personally, I think he was more of a propaganda tool than anything.
As others have stated, he's not invulnerable. He could have been destroyed. Besides, everything the US could have done with him, they did without him.
I think Prime surviving the artillery strike on the Prydwen after being fully built is because he is able to avoid the crashing airship, or destroy any parts coming towards him. If he's missing the beryllium agitator he shuts down as soon as the Prydwen gets hit and can't prevent it from crashing straight into him.
To be honest he doesn't stop firing whilst you teleport out which indicates he stopped only when the Prydwen had landed on him and the engines had been destroyed.
When you teleport the Prydwen is only a second or two away from turning you into an incredibly flat future Director.
What do you think?
