Gyrojet pistol. Basically the 60s version of a sci-fi weapon, shoots bullet sized rockets instead of, well, bullets.

Weapons you could mount on power armor would also be cool.

MP40 or Type 100.

A Peterson rifle would be cool. It's kind of like a combination of an m14 and a Luger.

Huh, I never knew that was how a Luger operated, having never seen one being used.

Edit: having mentioned it, having the Luger as a Unique 9mm pistol would be cool, if only for the firing animation like the peterson rifle.

I honestly want to see less real-world weapons or the supermarket own brand knock-offs in the later games where licensing was more of a concern. I want to see more crazy sci-fi weapons that look like something from a boomer shooter like the Cryolater from F4. They pretty much jettisoned any kind of realism when it comes to weapons in Fallout 4 and I appreciate that design philosophy, if I wanted to play an open-world FPS with realistic weapons I'd play Far Cry or some other Ubi-Soft cookie cutter annual release.

Hell I want to see Fallout get less realistic and more boomer shooter. Give weapons alt-fires and instead of knocking off boring weapons like a colt .45 rip off the Painkiller instead. Hell anything that's in an Id game can make an unadulterated cameo, just straight up have BFG in vanilla Fallout. Why not? Better than generic soldier-man gun #42069 there's enough of that going around to last a life time.

Yeah. The best weapons are unreal weapons. The fatman, power fist, plasma guns, croylator, broadsider.

I like the unreal weapons, but i also like real weapons. More guns like the radium rifle, I suppose. Something that gives real weapons a twinge of fallout.

Wytchfynder·7h Fallout doesn't take place in a fantasy land, it doesn't even take place in a wholly alternate universe, thus it makes perfect sense that there would be 'realistic' guns in the game. If they started using crazy weapons like the BFG all the time, the game would shift towards full-on science fiction, which its not supposed to be.

Revolver ocelot : "The colt single action army, the greatest handgun ever made. 6 shots, more than enough to kill anything that moves." not in the wasteland though deathclaws won't die in 6 shots.
