I chose these three because I thought these were probably the best from each game (haven't actually seen all fallout 3 DLC's so I'm not sure if zeta is the best one.
I love that people have taken the time to comment as well as vote, since these polls themselves are reflective of only what the favorite DLC is of the three of them, not a ranking the 3 DLCs in order of popularity. Otherwise a good DLC like Zeta comes across as the least favorite, when the reality is long time fans who like Zeta are also more likely to have enjoyed OWB, a truly fantastic DLC. So where I would chose OWB first, I would have Zeta as my second, long before even inviting Nuka World to the conversation.
Nuka World is half baked and more than lacking in content. Far Harbor is generally regarded as the best DLC of F4, with some going as far as to say it’s a better F4 than F4’s base game ever was. Picking the most competitive of F3’s is a little tougher. Zeta, the Pitt, and Broken Steel are the top ranking of that entry.
If I had to name the best for each game, I would say The Pitt for FO3, Old World Blues for New Vegas and Far Harbor for FO4.
Fallout 3 best DLC would have to be the Pitt the game Fallout 3 should have been.
New Vegas best DLC would have to be Old World Blues tied with Lonesome Road.
Fallout 4 best DLC would have to be Far Harbour.
I'm going with Nuka World. It's a horrible disappointment, but it was interesting enough for me to play it.
The other two just seem stupid. Regardless of quality, I can alreay tell I won't like them.
OWB is definitely silly up front, but most of that humor works to cover up some seriously dark moments that are just beneath the surface. If you don’t have the patience for that sort of atmosphere, I could see and understand it taking away from the overall feel of the DLC. I would still recommend it, even if only for the loot and the chance you come around. It does have some neat rewards, so that’s always something to consider.
Zeta really isn’t that silly once you play it. Though it might look that way from the outside, Zeta actually plays it remarkably straight. It’s certainly not aiming to be a “haha” experience, and I don’t think it gets there by accident. There are kookier quests and encounters in the base game.
Yeah. Zeta seems more interesting to me, but it's part of Fallout 3, which I can't forgive.
Well, there is one part of it that no one should ever forgive. If you remember General Chase from Op Anchorage, he had a winterized version of the Colonel Autumn overcoat. Well that winterized coat was added, completely broken, as loot in Zeta. For women, it just shows up as a third copy of Autumns coat, and for men, it shows up as winterized combat armor. That’s a true travesty, but is one of the few things I’ll forever hold against that DLC.
The Pitt is still the best DLC for fallout 3 the game 3 should have been imo.
Mothership Zeta and Old World Blues both seem a bit wacky but once you play them it's definitely not as bad as it sounds.
What do you think?
