Highly recommend reading Maxson's holotapes. Give a nice background to the founding of the Brotherhood.
The ones I can recall are "Preservation of Technology", "Formation of the Brotherhood of Steel", "About the Brotherhood", "The Nuclear Option", and "Elder Maxson's Final Conversation".
