how do I become an ultra-luxe honorary member?

I am doing the beyond the beef quest and cant seem to get marjorie to sponsor me as an honorary member, how can I become the "talk of the town" as she said?

After you finish beyond the beef, an Assassin will appear at some point and kill Chauncey. After you deal with the assassin, and you are at least accepted on the strip, talk to Marjorie and she will give you some ultra luxe clothes and a key. You’re in.

You have to deal with Mortimer and either get him someone they can eat; ie. Heck’s son, one of your human companions or St. Claire or you can expose Mortimer and get them to quit eating people. There are several options depending on your skills. Sneaky, talky,however you built your character. I think Mortimer is the key though, should be able to do it with no skills, you just might have to give in and let them be cannibals. I looked the quest up and you get to join after beyond the beef is satisfactorily resolved. This includes helping Mortimer.

I'm trying to expose mortimer but I can't do that without being an honorary member which is what I'm having trouble becoming

You have to use a disguise or be hidden, out of sight from the waiter who brings the dish you prepared. You’ll have to be quick to talk to Mortimer when he appears iirc. I hope this helps, it’s been awhile since I did it and I remember I used a disguise that I got earlier by stealth fully killing an ultra luxe guard. Save before that part as it my be difficult if you have Heck’s son with you.

You could try to deliver Heck’s son to him before you turn in Mortimer. Then lie about who kidnapped Ted. That way you don’t implicate the white gloves or the strip. This way you’ll get white glove fame and maybe then Marjorie will make you an honorary member. Then you won’t have to hide at the dinner because you’re a member. Don’t know if it will work for sure though.

Usually, I do this :(Good karma/neutral)

1. Receive the quest beyond the beef/pheeble will

2. Finish pheeble will with good karma(making the pheeble's go home)

3. Beyond the beef, talk to Marjorie about a missing persons, talk to Mortimer, if you're a cannibal don't talk to him using the cannibal perk/lie about being a cannibal, find the detective ( dead), you'll get ambushed by 2 Ultra luxe guards

3. Read the tape from the body of the dead detective

4. Find Chauncey (member who doesn't have the mask)

5. Talk to him, he gets assassinated, kill the assailant, take his guns.

6. Talk to Marjorie about becoming an honorary member ( I did this because I was accepted/liked by the strip) or pass checks

7. Become a honorary member. ( I suggest doing this quest in the morning /before 7 pm)

8. Enter the kitchen, a guard will ask what are u doing here, lie (obviously)

9.Find Felipe, pickpocket his recipe,talk to him, lie about a radroach in his pantry/kill him/ or make him leave.

10. Find Ted Gunderson in the freezer.

11. Make fake meat, using recipe or survival skills.

12. At 7 pm, serve the fake meat (don't let any of the members see Ted or they will turn hostile)

13. Let Mortimer talk, until the part when he said "enjoy the banquet"

14 talk to him, speak loudly. Because he's the only one that thought they eat real human meat, even though it's a fake.

15. Kill/make Mortimer leave the Ultra Luxe. (Recommend killing him (unique hat)

16. Talk to Marjorie, get idolized by the white glove society

17 (finish) return Ted gunderson to Heck Gunderson

To get some easy reputation just get acts for the theater in Tops Casino.
