It seems pretty counterproductive to the community, since we have enough people putting posts up about how hopeless the whole SERIES is based off of one game, for FANDOM to amplify that despair by supporting outlets like this.
The one thing I have noticed with the app is most of these articles are actually not Fandom's at all. It seems like they choose the juiciest clickbait they can find to get people to come take a look.
Also the apps notifications are comparatively louder than then rest of the notifications on my phone.
^This particular one is from Polygon and they're just as annoying as GosuNoob. They put some useful stuff on now and then but on other occasions such as this one they just want to create drama and discontent.
I just think if the wikis like the Star Wars one are getting shut down and FANDOM is eventually going to be source as it's aspiring to be, it's wrong for someone to follow a wiki only to have their hobby/interest criticised as soon as they open it.
'One game'?
Everything I've seen people complain about (except PVP) is a continuation of the direction they took in Fallout 4. Everyone complained about the dialogue, the shallow story, reused plot points, the bad performance, breaking lore, the Creation Club, and look where we are now. No dialogue, no player choice, this is the third Bethesda Fallout where you play as a Vault Dweller, the third to begin with a chase for a missing person, they brought back the BOS and Enclave, the bugs (including ones carried over from FO4) are legendary, and $20 skins.
As for the soul of Fallout, a game about the horrors of war and science gone too far has now devolved into a giant murder-sandbox with giant nuclear weapons for everyone.
Fallout 4 was indeed a dip in performance, but let's bear in mind it's predecessor was Fallout: New Vegas. I'm not sure about you, Soviet Wanderer, but Fallout: New Vegas is accepted as being legendary amongst ALL of the Fallouts, including the originals. I'd pity any game dev team following on from that. Fallout 4 was generally favoured by the community, whereas Fallout 76 is the more controversial dip in quality for the reasons you described.
If you consider Fallout 4 to also be a disaster, that's 2 of 6 games that were of questionable quality. You're telling me that justifies slandering the whole series?
Actually, 3 of 7. There is the game we don't talk about too (that came out for the PS2)
What game? No idea what you're talking about.
I was on about FOBOS, but thinking on it, there has actually been 8 games released, not counting Shelter.
Why is your comment blank? Is it a glitch?
Normally, I'd entertain this Husky, but I'm in the mood for real debate on the subject ;)
