Ziele sind Aufgaben, die in Fallout Shelter abgeschlossen werden können. Es sind immer drei Ziele aktiv. Man kann diese über das Pip-Boy-Menü (auf das "Menü"-Symbol unten rechts klicken) und dort unter Ziele einsehen. Es gibt je nach Ziel unterschiedliche Belohungen. Ziele sind nicht zu verwechseln mit den Quests, die über das Aufseherbüro einsehbar sind. Durch das Abschließen dieser Ziele erhält man verschiedene Belohnungen, wie Kronkorken, Lunchboxen, einen Mr. Handy oder eine Haustier-Transportbox.
Einmal am Tag kann man ein Ziel in der Liste durch einen Klick auf die X-Schaltfläche am linken oberen linken Rand eines Ziels überspringen. Ein abgeschlossenes oder entferntes Ziel wird durch ein neues ersetzt, sodass wieder drei Ziele zu erfüllen sind.
Die während einer Quest erreichten Fortschritte werden nicht auf die entsprechenden Ziele angerechnet. Demgegenüber werden die Fortschritte, die Bewohner beim Erkunden des Ödlands erreichen, auf entsprechende Ziele angerechnet.
